There are also a number of severe side effects that arise in rare cases, and you should seek medical attention immediately if any of them occur. These side effects include pale stools; redness or swelling at injection site (if receiving injectable form of drug); slow or shallow breathing; fast or irregular heartbeat; unusual weakness; vision changes; yellowing of eyes or skin; anxiety or nervousness; dark urine; or mental or mood changes (i.e. depression).

What if I forget to take a dose of buprenorphine?

It is best to take buprenorphine at the same time every day, as directed by your doctor, to ensure you remember to take it daily. However, if you forget, you can take it any time of day. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then and take your regular dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

What happens if I overdose on buprenorphine?
