What are the possible side effects of taking Enablex?

Some patients have reported side effects after taking Enablex. Less severe symptoms include constipation or diarrhea, dry eyes or mouth, stomach pain or upset stomach, and general weakness. If any of these conditions persist or worsen, contact your physician for assistance.

Severe side effects requiring immediate medical attention include signs of an allergic reaction (hives, itching, rash, swelling of the face, mouth, lips, throat, or tongue; difficulty breathing or swallowing); problems passing urine, or burning or pain while urinating.

• Missed Dose

What if I forget to take a dose of Enablex?

If you forget to take the schedule dose of Enablex, take it as soon as you remember and are able. However, if the time is near for the next scheduled dose, skip the one missed and resume the normal regimen. Do not take multiple doses to make up for the one that was missed.

Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Enablex. This medication may decrease sweating and lead to heat prostration. May cause dizziness or vision problems; do not drive, operate heavy machinery or equipment, use power tools, or handle firearms until its effects are known.
