Travatan Z Information:
What is Travatan Z?
Travatan Z contains a medication called travaprost, and it is a prostaglandin ophthalmic solution used to treat high pressure in the eye. Prostaglandins are lipid compounds that are naturally produced in the body and have diverse effects similar to those of hormones. Prostaglandins have several purposes including the regulation of inflammation, aggregation of platelets, hormone regulation, pain reception and more. In the case of Travatan Z, the prostaglandins work to increase the outflow of fluid from the eyes.
How do I take Travatan Z?
Use one of our Travatan Z discount coupons to get up to 86% off when you fill your prescription in your local pharmacy. Before using Travatan Z, wash and dry your hands. Then pull down your lower lid with your finger to form a pocket and tilt your head back to squeeze one drop of the solution into the pocket. Close your eye for one or two minutes without blinking to let the eye absorb the solution. Repeat the same process in the other eye if needed. Travatan Z should only be used once daily in the evenings. If you need more information on how to use Travatan Z, ask your pharmacist for patient assistance.
Before taking Travatan Z, tell your doctor if:
