Repaglinide Information:

What is Repaglinide?

Repaglinide is a generic drug that comes in tablet form, and it is used to treat type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is a health condition in which the body does not process insulin normally and, as a result, the body cannot control its blood sugar levels. This drug helps the body to regulate glucose (or sugar) levels in the blood. It works by decreasing glucose levels in the body by stimulating the pancreas to release insulin.

How do I use Repaglinide?

Repaglinide tablets are to be taken orally, and it is typically advised that Repaglinide be taken before meals, anywhere from 30 minutes before a meal up until right before you begin your meal.

Take this drug as directed by your doctor, and follow your doctor’s instructions carefully for using this drug. Do not stop taking this medication without first consulting with your doctor.

Before using Repaglinide, tell your doctor if:

  • you are allergic to Repaglinide or any other medications

  • you are taking any prescription or over-the-counter medications, vitamins, or nutritional or herbal supplements

  • you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding

  • shortness of breath

  • breath that smells fruity

  • decreased consciousness
